Impact Research Initiative (IRI) is an intensive 8-week program for Harvard and MIT students designed to support talented and ambitious students in launching high-impact research careers. Participants collaborate in small teams under the guidance of experienced mentors. We aim to tackle pressing global challenges in areas such as AI governance, technical AI safety, global health, biosecurity, and animal welfare. Our goal is that through rigorous research and close mentorship, participants not only produce high-quality research in these fields but also grow into the next generation of leaders capable of driving lasting impact.
